We may at times post links and ads to products and services we use or like. The ads posted in places on this blog are chosen because they are things we like and use. If it is a crappy product, we aren’t interested in pimping it just to make a few bucks in ad revenue or affiliate commissions.

Affiliate links may be posted on these pages. What these do is take you to the place you can buy the product we are talking about.

For example, we are an Amazon Affiliate, which means that if you are interested in buying a book we are talking about, you can click on the link we provide, and it takes you directly to that product on Amazon.com. If you end up buying it, they kick us down a couple of pennies for bringing the sale to them.

The price is the same to you either way, it just gives me a jumpstart on paying some of the cost of my next book purchase at Amazon (I read way more than I watch tv).

We’ll never try to trick you or any of that nonsense, and we’ll let you know when we have any vested interest like that in you buying something we are talking up. An easy way to tell if a link is an affiliate link here is to hover the mouse over the link. In the bottom of your browser, it will usually be to this domain, with the page shortened to “/aff-newdoodad”. I’ll try to keep the links labeled correctly so if you see that “aff-” in the address, it’s an affiliate link. Again, it won’t change your pricing, I just want to be upfront about it. If you have any questions or are unsure and still care for some reason, just ask!
