Ever feel like all the stuff they taught us growing up just isn’t what you want? School, career, home, kids, more career, and then retire to start enjoying life? Is that all life has to offer?

I spent a good deal of my life in cubicles, commuting, chasing the money to buy more things the television said I needed to make me happy. It never did.

I gave most of that up. So did a lot of other people you’ll meet here. We enjoy our lives. We live the life that we want to live, not the one we’re taught is the way everyone is supposed to live.

This site will introduce you to people who have freed themselves from that typical lifestyle and are now living the unconventional life of their choosing. Some still choose relatively conventional jobs, while many choose to be Digital Nomads and Location Independent Professionals traveling the world, with many variations in between.

There are no excuses anymore. There is no impossible. We live in a world where you can live the life you dream, no matter how far outside what most consider normal.

The purpose of this site is to help people living a life of freedom and those who want such a life. We don’t tell people how to live their lives, we show them the possibilities. We don’t need a white-collar job or a blue-collar job. We can truly Live Collar Free.

I spent most of my life in a 300-mile circle centered around Los Angeles. Most people wait to retire to come to Florida because it’s nice, so I moved to the Tampa area well before retirement age to see what all the fuss was about, and love it here. I travel as often as possible because I enjoy exploring all the things to see in this wonderful world we occupy.

I spend too much time in front of computers, and get outside as much as possible, whether motorcycling, kayaking, camping, or pedaling.

What I Do

When not sharing stories of people living unconventional lives here on the blog, I am a Freelance Writer and Editor.

I work online leading those struggling to do what I have, and escape from their conventional lifestyle with businesses of their own.

Existing businesses hire me to help them get current with all the latest online tech, tools, and social media stuff that all the kids are doing these days, so they can make more sales with less effort and expense than using the old ways of working.

I get businesses online and liven up boring sales copy so more customers talk about their amazing products and services (Yay! More sales!)
